Jolie insists that she has no political agenda for the film.

"The film is a love story, not a political statement," she said in a statement issued Saturday by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, for whom she is a goodwill ambassador.

Jolie hopes to get cameras rolling by the fall. No word yet on whether she will just produce or also star.

Jolie continues to thrill summer movie audiences with 'Salt' (pictured), which has grossed over $109 million, domestically.

In the meantime, fans can check out Angelina Jolie opposite Johnny Depp in 'The Tourist,' in theaters Dec. 10.
