Anyone who has ever babysat a kid has probably sat through repeated viewings of the tyke's favorite movie. Some young'uns take it to a whole new level, though, as we found out when we asked fans of Moviefone and ParentDish on Facebook to tell us which movies their kids watch over, and over (and over) again.
The most popular movies were Pixar's 'Cars,' 'Up,' 'Finding Nemo,' 'Wall-E,' and the 'Toy Story' franchise, Dreamworks' 'Kung Fu Panda' and 'Shrek' franchise and the timeless Disney staple 'The Little Mermaid.'
"I know a 4 year old who has seen 'Toy Story' at LEAST 100 times," said one user, Abby Collins. "He can quote it almost verbatim and has been Buzz Lightyear for Halloween for the last 2 years."
The combined results were enough to make us never want to watch those DVDs ever again! (But we love our kids enough to do it, anyway, right?) Check them out after the jump then be sure to add your own stories in the comments below.
Fun for the Whole Family
"My son watched 'George of the Jungle' over and over from the age of 18 months to 3. The sight of him dancing in his diaper to the theme song was great!" -- Kristen
"When my son was about 4, he saw 'Galaxy Quest' while my husband & I were watching it. Needless, to say, we have completely run that DVD to the grave. He would go around the house saying the catchphrases (Never give up, never surrender) and would clap like the aliens for years! He's 9 now and still gets a nice smile on his face whenever the theme song comes on! :-)" -- Erica
"I only let them watch kid-friendly movies that I love ... haha! But the regulars around here are 'Milo & Otis,' 'Herbie Fully Loaded,' 'Shrek,' 'Home Alone' and all the 'Toy Story' ones." -- Britt
"My 5-year-old nephew watched 'Shrek' over and over and over for the first 3 years of his life. He's now moved on to 'The Lion King 2' and 'Hairspray' (the remake). He has watched 'Hairspray' so many times he already knows all the songs by heart, and likes to tell me what's going on in the movie, like why certain characters are doing certain things." -- Paige
The First Few Times Were Cute, But Now ...
"My 2 (almost 3) year old loves all the 'Twilight' movies. I even took him to see Eclipse and he LOVED it. He walks around telling everyone he is 'Team Bella.'" -- Danielle
"My 4-year-old grand-daughter loves 'Finding Nemo,' 'Wall-E,' and 'Madagascar 2.' I had to download them into my iPhone so she could watch them over and over and over when she's with me in the car." -- Barbra
"My cousin is two and he watches 'Avatar' over and over, all day long. He makes the noises of the flying creatures and when he's not watching 'Avatar,' he acts it out." -- GeriAnn
"When my kids were smaller it was 'Babe' the talking pig movie and 'Finding Nemo' ... thankfully they are outta that stage now!" - Bambi
Never Want to See This Movie Again!
"My 5 and a half year old son can recite the movie 'Robots.' It's a cute movie but we have watched it at least 50 times ... if not more." -- Kelly
"My nephew Ben who is just about 2 years old is constantly watching the live action 'Scooby Doo' movie where they are on a haunted island. On a recent visit that lasted five days, I think we watched the movie at least 10 times in entirety. Gotta love toddlers...." -- Ashley
"My daughter is 6 and she watched 'Shark Boy and Lava Girl' over & over. After about 200 times she moved on to 'Coraline' and she watches it every night before bed. I never want to see either of those movies again for the rest of my life lol." -- Renee
"'Toys' ('Toy Story') and 'Mahnstahs' ('Monster's, Inc.') Over and over ... They're perfectly good movies, and entertaining, but after watching it for the 100th time, they get annoying." -- Jessica
