Michael VartanFormer 'Alias' star Michael Vartan will join 'Avatar' beauty Zoe Saldana in 'Columbina,' from director Olivier Megaton. Vartan will play Saldana's boyfriend in the film, about a hitwoman who tries to track down the mobster responsible for the murder of her parents. [Heat Vision]

Hamish LinklaterTV's Hamish Linklater ('New Adventures of Old Christine') will join Taylor Kitsch, Rihanna, Tom Arnold and Alexander Skarsgard in 'Battleship,' loosely based on the popular board game from Hasbro. Linklater will play a "brainy scientist" in the film, which is to be directed by 'Hancock's' Peter Berg. 'Battleship' arrives into theaters in 2012. [TheWrap]
