TorchwoodRussell T. Davies gave an interview with the website After Elton in which he discussed the history of 'Torchwood' and doled out some upcoming tidbits about the new series 'Torchwood: The New World' which will be co-financed and broadcast by both the BBC in England and the Starz network in the United States. The (technically) fourth season also brings the surviving members, Captain Jack and Gwen, to America.

RTD (and co-executive producer Julie Gardner) have a marvelous way of giving an interview without actually saying much that is new. The interview discusses the move to Starz and the new American audience for the show, of course. They also talk about the acquisition of American television writers like Jane Espenson (who, according to the interview, hasn't watched much 'Doctor Who' in her life. Given her interests and the type of television she writes for, I wonder how she missed it?).

'Torchwood: The New World' will be broadcast on the BBC and Starz in 2011.
