The ''Eat Pray Love' SoundtrackEat, Pray, Love' soundtrack might be the most rewarding collection of songs from a movie since the '(500) Days of Summer' soundtrack last year. Each song was meticulously chosen to accompany the upcoming film, which was adapted from the Elizabeth Gilbert penned memoir, and stars Julia Roberts, Javier Bardem, and James Franco. It's a story of a woman, who after a devastating divorce, seeks closure, relief, and redemption by traveling the world in search of something she lost long ago...herself.

This soundtrack, allows classic rock tunes from artists like Neil Young ("Heart of Gold" and "Harvest Moon" both of which are present), Sly & The Family Stone ("Thank You"), and Marvin Gaye ("Got to Give It Up pt. 1"), to mingle with world renowned international artists like Gato Barbieri, U. Srinivas, and Jun Miyake. While the lesser known international artists might seem out of place or obscure among the more familiar names, their songs act as subtle flourishes throughout the soundtrack and thereby help to capture the mood of Gilbert's story. Once again, reiterating the emotional wonderment that comes with being lost in the world and finding yourself.

"Better Days" by Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, is the only new song on the album. With a hint of Indonesian arrangements the song rolls out over soft tribal rhythms, making it a perfect hybrid of the lonely American disappearing into far away lands. Vedder's voice is natural and captures a deep sense of longing, and search for higher purpose – therefore as odd as it may sound, no singer other than Vedder, could've sung the theme to this particular film, with such convincing vibrato.
