If movies are to be believed, then we know that teenagers spend an insane amount of time trying to lose their virginity. And now, thanks to the Internet, cellphone cameras, and web cams, the occasionally embarrassing quest to have your first sexual experience can be captured and shared with the world at large.

This is the premise behind The Virginity Hit, a dreadful looking new film brought to you by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's production company. The red band trailer is now online and it makes the countless American Pie spinoffs look like In the Realm of the Senses in comparison. Basically, a group of teens exploit one guy's quest to get laid in a bid for Internet celebrity by filming episodes and posting them on YouTube. Hilarity should ensue, but if the trailer is any indication, it doesn't. What happens instead is a bunch of obvious gags get updated for the Internet age. Will there be countless jokes at the expense of their socially awkward friend? You bet.

You can check out the NSFW trailer after the jump, and then swing by the official website for some viral marketing (there's a "Virginity Hotline" you can call if you're really bored). Is this what you would expect from Ferrell and McKay, or were you hoping for something better?
