How would you like to see a gender-swapped remake of Fight Club with a bunch of women escaping their mundane lives by taking turns getting bloodied up? What if it's set nearly 200 years earlier? Then you'll enjoy this fake trailer for Jane Austen's Fight Club, which almost completely mimics the original Fight Club's trailer scene for scene, only filling it with bored 19th century society girls in the place of emasculated 20th century men looking for a break from the feminized culture they were born into. Here there are no corsets or hatpins allowed, and also no crying. Some of Austen's characters who make it into the spoof include Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bennet, Fanny Price, Emma Woodhouse and the elder Dashwood sisters.

What do you think? I don't believe the joke works as well as it's meant to, but it also seems silly enough that I doubt it's supposed to be accepted as great parody. I'd still rather watch this movie than Jane Austen's Mafia! and The Jane Austen Book Club. Now, watch the original Fight Club trailer for comparison:
