Shue and Lawrence will play a mother-daughter team who discover that their new home is parked only steps away from the scene of a gruesome double murder, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Max Thieriot ('Chloe') plays Lawrence's new pal and the only surviving member of the massacre.

The movie's script, by David Loucka, is based on a story written by 'Terminator 3' and 'Surrogates' director Jonathan Mostow.

Production on the FilmNation/A Bigger Boat project kicks off next month in Ottawa. But first, Shue will tread the deadly waters of horror remake 'Piranha 3D,' opening August 20.
