A funny TV show stunt by Bill Murray went wrong recently when the star was left with a nasty head wound. The Ghostbusters actor was a guest on The Late Show with David Letterman and preceded his interview by doing the 'dumpster dive' - which entailed the funny man leaping into a large rubbish skip that had been turned into a makeshift swimming pool.
But the comic moment went wrong when Murray, after diving into the skip a couple of times, cut his forehead on the ladders inside the pool and had to have a medic look at his injury during the ad break.

"He did hit his head on the dumpster and was bleeding during the interview with Letterman," a spokesman told the New York Post. "but the producers patched him up in the commercial break."
Murray was due to appear at a New York Cinema Society screening of his new film, Get Low, that same evening but pulled out, apparently, due to his injury.
