With all the Iron Men, Scott Pilgrims, Kick-Asses and Losers flooding theaters this year, it sometimes seems like people have forgotten the lovable team of mutants that kicked off this latest round of superhero movie dominance: The X-Men. Luckily for all of us, though, 20 Century Fox remembers where their bread is buttered, which is why its currently hard at work filling out the cast for next year's blockbuster prequel 'X-Men: First Class.'

And what a nice looking cast it is: According to Deadline, Kevin Bacon is the latest star in talks for the film, which already has James McEvoy ('The Last King of Scotland,' 'Atonement') signed on to play the younger Charles Xavier, as well as Michael Fassbender ('Inglorious Basterds') as Magneto, Alice Eve as Emma Frost, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Lucas Till as Havoc and Caleb Landry Jones as Banshee.

While it's unclear just who Bacon will play if he does sign on (though it's apparently villain of some kind), the rumor, along with persistent rumors that 'Kick-Ass' star Aaron Johnson will play young Cyclops, got us thinking: just which other mutants, aliens and supervillains do we want to see in 'X-Men-First Class?' And more importantly, which actors do we want to see play them? Without further ado, then, and working off the assumption that the film will end with the recruitment of the first X-Man, Cyclops (which means sadly no Jean Grey or Storm this time around), here's our dream cast for 'X-Men: First Class:' With all the Iron Men, Scott Pilgrims, Kick-Asses and Losers flooding theaters this year, it sometimes seems like people have forgotten the lovable team of mutants that kicked off this latest round of superhero movie dominance: The X-Men. George ClooneySebastian Shaw
-- We already know that 'X-Men: First Class' will feature Emma Frost, aka The Hellfire Club's White Queen. So it's only logical that the Black King would also be lurking: Sebastian Shaw, the power hungry mutant mastermind who has the ability to transform kinetic energy in super-strength. Shaw was actually based on legendary 'Jaws' and 'The Sting' actor Robert Shaw, but since he's no longer with us, we'd love to see George Clooney shed his good guy persona and try his hand at villainy for once.

Sam WorthingtonCain Marko -- It's true that Cain Marko, better known as The Juggernaut, already appeared in 'X-Men: Last Stand,' in which he was played by Vinnie Jones. But honestly, the less said about that movie the better. And anyway, Marko has a key role to play in the early days of the X-Men's formation: as Xavier's bullying step-brother, he helps give Xavier all the motivation he needs to keep on the straight and narrow. We think Sam Worthington has the necessary power to portray Marko in the days before he was transformed by the Crystal of Cyttorak into Juggernaut.

Nicoals CageLucifer -- No, we're not talking about the devil. Rather, this coincidentally named would-be alien conqueror is the reason that Professor X is confined to a wheelchair, the result of Xavier's heroic effort to stave off an invasion of Earth. Our choice for the role: Nic Cage, who we're guessing would be happy to take any part he could get in this -- or any other -- Marvel movie.

John Rhys-DaviesAmahl Farouk -- While on a journey in Egypt, Xavier's first encounter with a pre-teen Storm was cut short when he was attacked by the unscrupulous and tremendously powerful evil telepath Amahl Farouk. The encounter helped shape Xavier's code of ethics as he came face to face for the first time with the consequences of mutant powers used for sinister means. John Rhys-Davies has the right lend of acting chops and imposing physical presence to pull off the role. Plus, we kinda just want to see the 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' co-star back in Egypt one more time.

Christian BaleCorsair -- Of course, we don't just want villains to be appearing in 'X-Men: Last Stand;' we need some heroes, too. And since we already know that Scott Summers (Cyclops) and his brother Alex Summers (Havok) will be on hand, it only makes sense that their dad, Christopher Summers, would make an appearance as well. Code named Corsair, the aviator turned intergalactic space rebel would be a perfect excuse to see what Christian Bale would look like with a sweet fu-manchu mustache and a pair of laser pistols. In fact, wouldn't you pay to see a whole movie about that? We thought so.

Eve MylesMoira McTaggert -- No exploration of the X-Men's early days would be complete without Dr. Moira McTaggert, Xavier's first and one true love and the world's foremost expert on genetic mutation. 'Dollhouse' star Olivia Williams played the mature McTaggert in 'X-Men: Last Stand,' but for the younger version we'd like to tap 'Torchwood' cornerstone Eve Myles to play the Scottish spitfire.

Kristen Stewart and Robert PattinsonQuicksilver and The Scarlet Witch -- Considering 'X-Men: First Class' is going to show how Xavier founded the X-Men, it's fitting that we also get a peek at the creation of Magneto's darker counterpart, the Brotherhood of (Evil) Mutants. And that team, of course, was formed around his own children, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch. And we have the perfect pair in mind for the role: 'Twilight's' Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Pattinson certainly has the angular features and magnificent hair to pull off Quicksilver's iconic look, while Stewart, the reigning queen of the goth girl set, was born to play the broody beauty Scarlet Witch. And we have a feeling 20th Century Fox wouldn't mind drawing a few 'Twilight' fans to see 'X-Men' either. We rest our case.
