The billion-dollar success of Disney's 'Alice in Wonderland' probably has a lot to do with Universal's decision to fast-track 'Wicked.' Directors that are being considered for or have expressed interest in the project include Rob Marshall, J.J. Abrams, James Mangold and Ryan Murphy.

No word on casting yet, though you can expect that pretty much every hot young actress in her 20s will be rumored for one of the lead roles at one time or another. Stay tuned!
