... Something, because it's looking a little, um, scrawny. Steven R. Monroe's remake of the exploitation favorite, I Spit on Your Grave, is slated for an October 8th release. While I'm happy to see they're attempting to pay homage to the 1979 classic, the poster design feels a little boring and predictable.

The 2010 redux stars Andrew Howard (Luster), Sarah Butler, Jeff Branson, Chad Lindberg (Push), Daniel Franzese (War of the Worlds), Rodney Eastman (NOES 3 & 4), Saxon Sharbino, Amber Dawn Landrum. In the film, writer Jennifer Hills heads to the woods for a retreat from the city, where she becomes the target of a few local creeps who proceed to humiliate, abuse, and torture her. Against all odds, Jennifer survives and is hell-bent on revenge.

I'm not really sure how you update a rape revenge film in a meaningful way, but I've gotten the feeling from the start that this remake is going to try to "out controversy" the original. Zzzz. Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
