Meryl Streep may be on her way to Number 10 Downing Street: The Academy Award-winning actress is in talks to play British prime minister Margaret Thatcher in a biopic simply titled 'Thatcher.' According to The Hollywood Reporter, Streep would reteam with her "Mamma Mia!" director Phyllida Lloyd for the Pathe/BBC Films production set in 1982, just before the Falklands War that boosted Thatcher's popularity and helped her win a second term as British PM. Adam Brody, Marley Shelton and Erik Knudsen have joined the cast of 'Scream 4,' the latest incarnation of the horror series that slashed it's way to big box office in 1996, according to a report at HeatVision. Returning from the original will be Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox, as well as director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson. A new generation of victims will be represented by Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin and Nico Tortorella. Filming began this week in Michigan.

Sean Penn will hit the waves as surfing icon Dorian "Doc" Paskowitz in a biopic of the eccentric surfer who gave up a successful medical practice to hit the road in a camper with his wife and nine children. Variety reports that Penn is in negotiations to both produce and star in the project, which has the blessings of the 89-year-old Paskowitz. The nomadic beach clan was recently the subject of Doug Pray's documentary 'Surfwise.'
