I'm probably going to get some grief for this one. See, I'll let you in on a little secret - we don't always adhere to whatever ridiculous argument we're making in the Deadly Debate. I had to argue against Night of the Creeps, which hurt me deep down into the Scotch-filled pit where my heart used to be. But in this one? I genuinely don't care for Drag Me To Hell. I'm sorry. I wanted to like it. I wanted to love it. Instead, I think it walks the line between horror and comedy, without being terribly effective at either one. I don't hate it as I do so many films, but while I have a scant few allies in my distaste for this film, I'm well aware that I'm in the minority.
Each month, Kayla and I debate the merits of any particular horror film, be it classic, cult, or somewhere in between. We've done quite a few so far and have several on deck. If you've got any particular flick you'd like to see us debate, please let us know. Post something in the comments here or on the youtube page.
And tell Kayla she's wrong. 'Cause she is. Always.
Past the jump is round X of the eternal battle of taste versus the tart.
