Nicholas Braun ('10 Things I Hate About You'), Danielle Campbell (Disney's 'StarStruck'), Yin Chang ('Gossip Girl'), Ben Esler ('The Pacific'), Kylie Bunbury, Jared Kusnitz, Thomas McDonell, DeVaughn Nixon and Nolan Sotillo make up the rest of the cast.

Joe Nussbaum ('American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile') will direct and Katie Wech is on board as the writer.

We feel the move by Disney is to skew a little bit older than the 'High School Musical' crowd and tap into the drama -- and song -- that makes another one-word high school-based franchise so popular: TV's 'Glee.'

'Prom' is expected in 2012.
