Apparently, the actress has since developed a fear of the slithery reptile so when one inadvertently showed up during an outdoor promotional TV interview for her new movie Grown-Ups... all hell broke loose.

The 43-year-old actress - who was being filmed on US show Extra alongside her co-stars from Grown-Ups, Maya Rudolph and Maria Bello - went into a state of hysteria the moment she saw the snake.

First of all she jumped out of her seat, then climbed on to her chair, before eventually landing on Maya Rudolph's lap screaming, "somebody do something!" After a few moments of madness, it appears that her assistant was forced to make an appearance just to calm her down.

Following the incident, Simon Cowell's ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour - who was doing the interview - said this about their uninvited guest: "It was like a python. It was thick. Its head was like this - like a cobra!"

Anyway, less chat, watch Salma freak out now...
