Reynolds will play a U.S. Marshall who will probably at some point take his shirt off while escorting a suspect (Bullock) to court. They end up on the lam, and hijinks, romance, and hopefully Betty White are sure to follow. It will be wacky, and it will make a lot of money.
EW.com's Nicole Sperling compares the two to Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, who starred in two romantic Nora Ephron blockbusters, Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail. I'm not sure I agree. Bullock seems less purposefully daft than Ryan ever was, and Reynolds is too sexy to be the Joe Everyguy that Hanks had down pat at that point in his career.
I like Bullock and Reynolds' chemistry, and besides the fact that Bullock is one of the few women who can get a movie green-lit just by attaching her name to a project, according to New York's Vulture, the world obviously has love to spare for this comeback queen. (By the way, one of Bullock's awards show snogs went to Reynolds' wife, Scarlett Johansson. It doesn't mean anything, I just like random coincidences. Or was it?? Kidding!)
Do you think they make a great pair, or should they go their separate ways?
