Carl RinschCarl Rinsch is reportedly in talks to direct 'Logan's Run,' a remake of the 1976 film starring Michael York, Jenny Agutter and Farrah Fawcett, according to Heat Vision.

The reboot has been in the reworks for nearly two decades, with a number of names attached to direct it along the way, from Byan Singer ('Superman Returns'), to 'Tron Legacy''s Joseph Kosinski.

The film, about a "future society that demands the death of everyone upon reaching a certain age," is based on the 1967 book by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson. Rinsch was previously attached to direct the upcoming 'Alien' prequel, and is currently eyeing Universal's '47 Ronan.'

No word on yet on who would play the roles originated by York, Agutter and Fawcett. According to the report, a new script will be written, should Warner Bros. be able to secure Rinsch.
