CBS Films has valiantly prevented a cinematic crisis of epic proportions.

Coming Soon reports that the studio has moved 'Beastly,' starring Vanessa Hudgens, out of its July 30 release date -- seemingly in order to avoid direct competition with 'Charlie St. Cloud,' starring Hudgens' 'High School Musical' pal Zac Efron, which recently moved from October to July.

The following announcement appeared on the official Facebook page for 'Beastly':

"We've been hearing from fans, so we know that having both Zac and Vanessa's movies opening on the same day could be a real dilemma for people, so we are moving 'Beastly.'" CBS Films has valiantly prevented a cinematic crisis of epic proportions.

A new release date hasn't been announced, though it's currently speculated that CBS FIlms is looking at January 2011.

'Beastly' is a modern-day take on the 'Beauty and the Beast' myth, as a teenager is transformed into a hideous monster in order to find true love. The film also stars Alex Pettyfer, Mary-Kate Olsen and Neil Patrick Harris.
