Jean-Claude Van DammeIt looks like Van Damme Friday has come a bit early this week.

DreamWorks Animation announced today that actor Jean-Claude Van Damme will lend his voice to 'Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom,' the sequel to the 2008 Oscar-nominated smash, in which he will play a character named Master Croc.

Also joining the cast are Michelle Yeoh, Victor Garber and the now-confirmed Gary Oldman, who will play The Soothsayer (a goat), Master Thundering Rhino and Lord Shen (a peacock), respectively. Jean-Claude Van DammeIt looks like Van Damme Friday has come a bit early this week.

Jack Black will once again reprise his role as the titular character, alongside the previously announced Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross and James Hong.

Meanwhile, DreamWorks has also moved the film's release date up a week, to May 27, 2011 (Memorial Day weekend). The film was previously scheduled to open on June 3, 2011.

The original 'Kung Fu Panda' opened in summer 2008 and went on to gross over $631 million, worldwide, making it DreamWorks Animation's most successful original film to date.
