Are you ready to meet the new torch holders of the Scream franchise? The new Scream 4, which will reunite Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven with their '90s creation, is set to be a passing of the torch, prepping a new group of heroes. Should things go as planned, we now know who at least some of them will be, and it looks like the women are ruling the roost even more this time around. THR's Heat Vision reports that Lake Bell (It's Complicated) is currently in negotiations, and offers have gone out to Twilight's Ashley Greene, Heroes' Hayden Panettiere, and Rory Culkin (the kid who always plays the young movie version of his elder brothers Culkin).

Bell, the only one in active negotiations, would play a cop who went to school with Sidney (in other words, a femme Deputy Dewey), but the big news comes with the kids. Greene's role is the biggest, as Sid's cousin Jill. If she's interested, and it doesn't interfere with Breaking Dawn, she'll be the new Sid -- "essentially the heroine of the movie." Meanwhile, Panettiere will take on the Randy role as Jill's nerdy film geek friend, and Rory Culkin would be a potential love interest for Jill, although hopefully not in the bloody ways of Sid and Billy.

Okay, now it's time to hear from you folks. Obviously, they want the old guys out and the new gals in. Do you want to watch those three survivors get axed? (Unless Sid just waves to Jill, passes the torch, and disappears to a remote tropical island.) More importantly, do you like the new incarnations of Sid, Randy, and Dewey? I can dig Greene and Bell, but Panettiere as a nerdy film geek? That seems like a stretch. Weigh in with your thoughts in the comments
