Rodriguez is a huge fan of fantasy films, though his 'Red Sonja' project has been stuck in development hell for quite some time. Rodriguez approached Bakshi directly about 'Fire and Ice' and has full creative control over the project, which means it should get made sooner rather than later.

Robert Rodriguez's latest film, 'Machete,' opens September 3. He also produced 'Predators,' opening July 9.
