Skadoosh! The 'Kung Fu Panda' sequel just got a lot weirder.

Heat Vision reports that 'Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom,' the sequel to the 2008 animated DreamWorks comedy, is getting a polish in the script department by none other than legendary scribe Charlie Kaufman.

Kaufman is the writer of such startlingly original and mind-bending existential journeys as 'Being John Malkovich,' 'Adaptation' and 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.' He won an Academy Award for his 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' screenplay and recently made his directorial debut with 'Synecdoche, New York.' Skadoosh! So what does this mean for a movie about a talking panda trained in martial arts? We'll have to see how much Kaufman left his mark on the animated film when it hits theaters in June 2011.

'Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom' features the voice talents of Jack Black, Seth Rogen, Angelina Jolie and Dustin Hoffman.
