One of my favorite segments on G4's Attack of the Show is Joe Lynch's Body Count. Basically, once every few months, the filmmaker -- who gave us Wrong Turn 2 -- heads out to the Dark Delicacies bookstore in Southern California and tells us about three new horror films we should be checking out.

Its seems like it's been forever since we last saw Lynch, but he's back with a new installment in his series -- one that covers some very cool horror offerings.

Lynch starts off talking about Ti West's House of the Devil -- a film that made my top ten of 2009 list here at Horror Squad. Most horror fans are already well aware of the charms of West's film, but here's to hoping some of AOTS's more casual viewers will now pick up one of the best horror flicks in recent memory.

Next up, Lynch gives us a peek at British TV zombie series Dead Set. I've been dying to check out this gory new entry in the zombie canon since I first heard about it almost two years ago, but it still hasn't acquired American distribution. I was hoping Joe might surprise us with news that it was finally coming to the good old USA, but he only says that it may happen at some point in the future. Guess I need to get my region free DVD player fixed.

The segment winds up with a look at Clive Barker's Dread, Anthony DiBlasi's entry in the year's Horrorfest. Lynch liked this one quite a bit, which means I should finally watch it.

Jump past the break to check out the full clip. Let's hope Lynch brings us lots of new segments going forward. It's great having a bonafide horror fan talking about the films we love on television.
