Zombie lit seems to be the go to source for filmmakers lately (oh hello Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) and Alan Goldsher's book Paul is Undead is no different. The Telegraph reports that Double Feature -- the movie studio behind Pulp Fiction and Erin Brockovich -- is going to be raising the dead with a film about English rock legends, The Beatles. Except this time the Fab Four will don their trademark black suits and skinny ties as flesh eaters out for world domination.

Stacey Sher, of Double Feature, had this to say about the project: ''I am a huge Beatles fan like the rest of the world and Alan's mash-up, which really showcases his love of music history and his appreciation of the zombie world, is a fun, funny read. How can you not love a book where Jesus agrees with zombie John Lennon, that the Beatles are in fact bigger than him?'' The studio is currently seeking financial backing and will be casting soon.

In the book, zombie John Lennon transforms his bandmates into the undead and the newly formed Beatles set out to woo the world -- that is, if they can keep their hunger for brains in check. Mick Jagger makes an appearance as England's greatest zombie hunter and Yoko Ono is a Eighth Level Ninja Lord. Of course, one need not be a Beatles fan to see that these are all curious and hilarious euphemisms for the band's real life history and struggles. Are you itching to see the Brit band as zombies or should the studio just let it be?
