Whatcha gonna do when they come for you -- for a third time?

According to Coming Soon, Jerry Bruckheimer has confirmed that Miami detectives Mike Lowery (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) will return for a third 'Bad Boys' adventure -- well, hopefully.

"It's a wish and a hope and a dream," said the uber-producer. "We've been working on a screenplay, which is excellent. It's an idea Will [Smith] gave us, so hopefully, it will come to fruition, we would love it to."

If the project comes to pass, 'Bad Boys III' would reunite Smith, Lawrence and director Michael Bay as they would presumably blow up half of Florida as they hunt down the bad guys. Whatcha gonna do when they come for you -- for a third time?

Meanwhile, each member of the trio is working on third installments of their individual franchises: Smith on 'Men in Black III,' Lawrence on 'Big Momma's House 3' and Bay on 'Transformers 3.'

'Bad Boys' was a breakout hit for Smith, Lawrence and Bay back in 1995, earning over $141 million in worldwide box office during its theatrical run. 'Bad Boys II' earned over $273 million worldwide in 2003, though it cost over six-times as much as its predecessor.
