I was watching World's Greatest Dad on Netflix last night, when I spotted a homegrown piece of movie memorabilia on a wall in the movie -- a Tyler Stout original poster for John Carpenter's classic The Thing. I know Stout's not from Austin (my home), but the poster was commissioned by Mondo for a screening at Austin's Alamo Drafthouse, so that's homegrown enough for me.

Besides, it's just a really great poster. All of Stout's posters are, crammed more full of faces and memorable moments that one sheet of paper could possibly bear. While The Thing poster may not be one of my all-time favorites from Stout, it's still indicative of his amazing work.

You can see the whole thing after the jump.
