Men in BlackHere come the 'Men in Black' ... in 3-D.

After weeks of Internet buzz, Columbia Pictures announced today that 'Men in Black III' will officially hit theaters on May 25, 2012, and that, yes, it will be in 3-D.

Returning to the franchise: Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald, who will produce the film, and Barry Sonnenfeld, who will direct. Etan Cohen wrote the script, based on the comic book by Lowell Cunningham. Men in BlackHere come the 'Men in Black' ... in 3-D.

According to a network press release, the project, starring Will Smith, is expected to begin production in the fall. Tommy Lee Jones is reportedly in advanced negotiations to return as Agent Kay, while Josh Brolin ('Milk,' 'No Country for Old Men') is said to be in talks to play a "young Agent Kay."

'Men in Black III' will open a whopping 10 years after the second film in the series, which grossed over $190 million, domestically.
