Liam GallagherOasis frontman Liam Gallagher is teaming with Revolution Films to produce a big screen version of Richard DiLello's memoir, 'The Longest Cocktail Party,' about the latter days of the Beatles, their breakup and subsequent solo careers.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Gallagher and Revolution Films, which is run by Andrew Eaton and Michael Winterbottom ('A Mighty Heart,' '24 Hour Party People'), will shop the film at next week's Festival de Cannes.

Gallagher currently owns the rights to the memoir. No word yet on who will direct, write and star in the project, or when it would begin filming.

DiLello, who worked for the Beatles' Apple Corps, released his memoir in 1973. Subsequent editions were reprinted in 1981 and 2005.
