If you were feeling bad for genre icon Robert Englund because he isn't playing Freddy in the new Elm Street remake, don't. The actor is keeping busy while Jackie Earle Haley dons the infamous glove-sweater-fedora ensemble, and Variety brings us news of his latest project -- Inkubus.

Englund is set to star in the new film, which takes place in a police station scheduled for demolition. A skeleton crew is working the final night shift when a demon named Inkubus wanders in carrying a severed human head. The hellspawn then begins confess his crimes, some of which stretch back to the middle ages. Kinda sounds like Assault on Precinct 13 crossed with an episode of Supernatural.

The veteran character actor is set to be joined by fellow cult film fan favorite William Forsythe, former N'Sync member Joey Fatone, Jonathan Silverman, Mike Cerrone and Michelle Ray Smith.

No official release date has been set for Inkubus yet, but the project is now on our radar and we'll bring you more news as details emerge.
