The buzz on Scott Pilgrim Vs The World has been nothing but good. (You may have heard some ugly rumors last week. Ignore them!) However there's one word that could strike cold terror into the heart of any fan: reshoots. Production Weekly tweeted that Edgar Wright & Company were returning to Canada for three additional days of shooting, starting May 15th. Three days isn't a lot, but what could it be? Is there something wrong with the film? I can hear your voices getting higher and higher.

Well, don't panic. Stop right now. Don't let anyone tell you anything mean or negative about these reshoots. CHUD e-mailed Wright, who was only too happy to explain what he was up to. "To be honest -- I'm excited about it. We have material from Vol 6 that is impossible to resist and so even after a nearly a year of editing - it's going to be fun to put some icing on the cake. We are not even redoing one full scene, just some bits and bobs and new jokes and beats that I wrote with [Michael] Bacall & [Bryan Lee] O'Malley."

This is really a special something for fans to really feel warm and fuzzy about. Vol 6 will hit shelves on July 20, and Scott Pilgrim comes to theaters on August 13. You will have just finished reading that book, and it will be fresh in your mind. Before you can be depressed that Wright started shooting before the series wrapped, wham! You'll see the movie, and the jokes you cherished will (probably) be there. How cool is that? I'd say very cool. Most geeks have to wait until the sequel comes out for that kind of wish fulfillment. But not Scott Pilgrim fans. They're the luckiest fans in the world. Anyone who tells you otherwise is just trying to ruin your day.
