After years of working in relative obscurity in small movie and TV parts after he retired from boxing and returned to acting, Mickey Rourke struck it big with his role as Randy "The Ram" Robinson in 'The Wrestler,' earning an Oscar nomination and starring roles as Ivan Vanko in 'Iron Man 2' and as King Hyperion in 'Immortals.'

Now, according to a report at 'Deadline Hollywood,' Rourke's name is being bandied about for parts in two upcoming Tony Scott projects: a lead in 'Potzdamer Platz,' about the New Jersey mob, and -- get this -- as the star of a film on the Hells Angels motorcycle club that Scott has been tinkering with for more than a decade. Rourke would play Sonny Barger, the founder of the infamous Oakland Hell's Angels and the man responsible for turning the Angels into a national organization. The film -- set up at Fox 2000, which bought the rights to Barger's memoir -- would be a motorcycle version of 'Point Break,' with a young cop infiltrating the Angels to investigate criminal activities, according to Deadline Hollywood. The report also went on to say that Scott had met with Shia LaBeouf about the cop role.

We sure can see Rourke playing a Hells Angel, what with his beat up mug, bulky body and world-weary attitude. What do you think?
