We've sensed a disturbance in the force of the 'Star Wars' community in recent years. And no, it's not because of the reviews for 'The Clone Wars.'

It has to do with Star Wars Day, on which Lucas-ites everywhere celebrate the success of arguably the biggest movie franchise of all-time. Some think it should be held every May 25, to celebrate the 1977 release of the film that started it all. Then there are others who prefer today, May 4, if for no other reason than to be able to say to their brethren: May the Fourth be with you.

However and whenever you choose to celebrate Star Wars Day (wedding, anyone?), there's plenty of celebratory Internetting today in honor of Luke, Leia and the crew. As of this post, #StarWarsDay is currently trending like crazy on Twitter, with tweets celebrating the film, launching a rebellion or quoting the sage advice of a little green Jedi master. Speaking of Yoda, the folks at Current Movie Reviews have compiled the best Yoda quotes of the series, and CNN is collecting memories from "iReporters" about the shriveled Jedi and his role in 'The Empire Strikes Back', celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Miss Celainia over at mental floss gives a rundown of the various promotions tied to 'Star Wars' Day, including frozen yogurt specialties, information about the International Church of Jediism and Lego's offer to cut shipping costs on 'Star Wars' item orders over $75.

Not to be outdone, TomTom launched an awesome ad for their new service, adding the voice of Darth Vader, C-3PO et al to your GPS device:

But, of course, one of the most unique ways to celebrate 'Star Wars' Day online is with a greeting from JibJab (the guys who brought you 2004's Bush/Kerry duet 'This Land'), who have a customizable 'Star Wars'-themed greeting called 'Star Wars Starring You.'

So if you're thinking it might be nice to upload some photos at JibJab.com (or StarWars.com) and play out a scenario in which you and your friends stop Darth Vader's "giant walking robot thingies" from ravaging the planet Hoth, just remember: Do or do not. There is no try.
