The Texas Frightmare Weekend, the premier horror convention of the Southwest, will run from April 30 to May 2 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Dallas. This is your chance to meet icons of horror and take part in a slew of events. Horror movie fans, you must get to Texas this weekend. The Lone Star State is about to be filled with more thrills and chills -- and possibly some spills -- than anywhere else in America.
The Texas Frightmare Weekend, the premier horror convention of the Southwest, will run from April 30 to May 2 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Dallas. This is your chance to meet icons of horror and take part in a slew of events.
Appearing at the Frightmare Weekend will be horror masters John Carpenter and George Romero. Carpenter will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as taking part in a full reunion of his demonic car movie 'Christine.' Romero will be on hand to present his newest film, 'Survival of the Dead.' Also appearing at the event will be Bill Moseley and Sid Haig of 'The Devil's Rejects,' Lance Henriksen, Margot Kidder, Danielle Harris of the 'Halloween' franchise and an endless supply of movie monsters and victims.
There will be screenings of the Sundance hit 'Frozen,' '2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams' and more from the newest voices in horror movies. The weekend is also offering industry seminars on writing, special effects, producing and acting, as well as movie Q&As. You can take part in a horror prop auction, and peruse vendors selling collectibles, posters, toys and a variety of merchandise. Not to mention, there's a Hearse and Shock-Rod auto show and a Ghoultown rock concert.
Oh, and if that wasn't enough scares for your weekend, there's also going to be a zombie walk.
