Brian Jacks over at MTV.com has created an animated short that faithfully recreates each pulse-pounding moment of the trailer ... using the brand-new 'Prince of Persia' Lego Toys. The film is directed by Mike Newell, who aside from 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,' has mostly crafted prestige projects like 'Four Weddings and a Funeral.' 'Prince of Persia' co-stars Alfred Molina and Sir Ben Kingsley, who won an Oscar for 'Gandhi.'

The film boasts such a sophisticated pedigree -- Gyllenhaal even takes on a British accent to give the movie a more classical, swashbuckling air -- that you might almost forget its roots as a classic video game.
