Find out more after the jump... Sam WorthingtonHe's already the star of the biggest film ever, but is Avatar's Sam Worthington now set to get his Martini's shaken but not stirred? Well, that's what bookmaker William Hill think who have put the Aussie actor at 5/2 favourite to take the role of 007 if Daniel Craig does not return.

This speculation has come about after the 23rd Bond film was recently put on hold indefinitely over concerns about the future of MGM studios. Craig is expected to reprise his role in the next Bond movie, but previous breaks in filming have led actors to be recast.

A six-year gap between 1999 and 2005 saw the departure of one Bond - Timothy Dalton - and the introduction of a new 007 in the shape of Pierce Brosnan. Then a four-year break between 2002 and 2006 saw Brosnan hang up his tuxedo to make way for Daniel Craig.

Interestingly, Sam Worthington - who was born in the UK but raised from an early age in Australia - did a screen test for Casino Royale, the 21st Bond movie, but eventually lost out to Craig.

Other actors being tipped by William Hill to become the new Bond include Christian Bale and Will Smith who are both priced at 7/1.

Daniel Craig, however, has said that he has "every confidence" in MGM's decision to delay filming on Bond 23 and was looking forward to production resuming "as quickly as possible".

So what do you think? Could Sam Worthington be the new James Bond? Or has Daniel Craig got some life left in him yet?
