James Cameron is planning to jump into the deep end in his much talked about 'Avatar' sequel.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, the writer-director discusses the sequel to the highest-grossing movie of all time and which areas of Pandora we'll be exploring next.

"Part of my focus in the second film is in creating a different environment -- a different setting within Pandora. And I'm going to be focusing on the ocean on Pandora, which will be equally rich and diverse and crazy and imaginative, but it just won't be a rain forest." The setting of the 'Avatar' sequel should come as no surprise, as Cameron is certainly no stranger to the ocean, having explored its depths in both 'The Abyss' and 'Titanic,' as well as in two documentaries, 'Ghosts of the Abyss' and 'Aliens of the Deep.'

Meanwhile, Cameron and his team are preparing an additional six minutes of footage for the theatrical re-release of 'Avatar,' set to hit theaters in August. The film to date has grossed over $2.7 billion, worldwide.

'Avatar' will be released on DVD and Blu-ray tomorrow, Apr. 22 -- just in time for Earth Day.
