Rob LettermanRob Letterman has been tapped to direct the upcoming superhero flick 'Stretch Armstrong,' starring 'Twilight' hottie Taylor Lautner, EW.com has confirmed.

The site has also confirmed that Nicholas Stoller ('Forgetting Sarah Marshall'), who directed 'Get Him to the Greek' (in theaters Jun. 6), will re-write the script, following a previous draft written by 'Bruce Almighty''s Steve Oedekerk.

Lettermand and Stiller previously collaborated on the 2009 animated comedy 'Monsters vs. Aliens,' and will re-team again for the upcoming epic 'Gulliver's Travels,' starring Emily Blunt, Jason Segel, Jack Black and Amanda Peet, among others. The film -- which is expected to be filmed in 3D -- is tentatively set for a release in 2012.

Lautner -- whose next film, 'Twilight: Eclipse' opens Jun. 30 -- plays the titular character, a spy who discovers a stretching formula, in which he uses to fight crime.
