"Due to the continuing air travel uncertainty, Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment have taken the decision to move the "Iron Man 2' world premiere and junket to Los Angeles,'' said the companies in a press release.

While the premiere has been moved, international distribution of 'Iron Man 2' is moving ahead, seemingly unaffected by the volcano. Copies of 'Iron Man 2' were delivered in Europe a week ago, according to the report.

'Iron Man 2' is set for an April 30 release in the United Kingdom, just one week ahead of its U.S. release, on May 7.

The first 'Iron Man' was released in 2008 and went on to gross over $318 million, domestically.
