The 'Masters of the Universe' film is a go -- now, just one minor step: Casting the awesome hunk who'll play He-Man. He's got to be big, brawny, blond and above all -- keep a straight face when he invokes the powers of Grayskull.

There's always Dolph Lundgren, who played the warrior prince in the first big-screen version in 1987, but we're betting a younger star will be tapped this time around.

We round up the hottest young (and not-so-young) beefcakes who could rightly be called "He-Man." Tell us who you think should be cast in the poll and comments section below. John Cena
Unlike the pretty boys on our list, WWE powerhouse Cena won't need to bulk up for the role -- he's good to go! And the guy's already flexed his movie muscle in action flicks 'The Marine' and '12 Rounds.' We don't imagine 'Masters of the Universe' will require too much heavy lifting in the acting department. And if there is heavy lifting, Cena's our man!

Travis Fimmel
The one-time TV Tarzan has definitely got the bod to be He-Man, and the face isn't too hard on the eyes either. Last seen opposite Patrick Swayze on A&E's 'The Beast,' Fimmel's one of the first names to come up in fandom circles -- if he doesn't mind being typecast as another shirtless hunk.

Cam Gigandet
Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner aren't the only 'Twilight' hunks who send fangirls into a swoon. Plus, he has a black belt in krav maga, the ultra-cool martial art favored by Jason Bourne, which means he wouldn't even need He-Man's magical sword to slay Skeletor. (Then again, the sword is pretty standard in any sword-and-sandal movie.)

Channing Tatum
We've been crushing on this hottie ever since 'Step Up,' and we've really admired his, er, body of work in 'Fighting,' 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,' not to mention all those beach scenes in 'Dear John.' But with projects from directors Dito Montiel ('Guide to Recognizing Your Saints') and Steven Soderbergh in the works, Tatum's dance card could be too full at this point to even consider taking on Eternia.

Taylor Kitsch
'Friday Night Lights' favorite hardbody has already graduated from TV to the big-time, with roles in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' and the upcoming 'Battleship' and the title role in 'John Carter of Mars.' Like Tatum, he might be far too busy to strap on He-Man's chest plate and sandals. But wouldn't he look pretty in them?

Jason Lewis
Hey, we'd love an excuse to see 'Sex and the City's' Absolut Hunk on the big screen wearing next to nothing. Outside of being Samantha's boy toy, Lewis has been steaming up 'Brothers & Sisters' as Matthew Rhys' hot boyfriend, Chad. We're thinking it's time this former 'Charmed' star gets a chance to do more than play love scenes. Not that we have a problem with that.

Josh Holloway
Even though his name has come up in the blogosphere, he wouldn't be our first choice for He-Man. Yeah, we love us some shirtless Sawyer, but since he passed on the 'Wolverine' role of Gambit that went to Taylor Kitsch, we can't quite see him jumping on board a big, potentially cheesy action franchise. But, c'mon, Josh, please make something we want to see you in, other than movies that go straight-to-DVD.

Dolph Lundgren
Can you improve on the original flesh-and-blood He-Man? Okay, the movie stunk, but Dolph's abs were the real deal. Still are, judging by recent photos. So he's 52 now. That's younger than Harrison Ford. (Then again, Indy didn't take his shirt off in 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls.')
