The Los Angeles Times brings news that the release of the indie comedy 'I Love You Phillip Morris' has once again been postponed by its distributor, Consolidated Pictures Group. The film, which has been shuffled around for several months and was recently set for an Apr. 30 limited release, has now been taken off of the company's calendar completely.

'I Love You Phillip Morris,' written and directed by the 'Bad Santa' writing team of John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, focuses on the love affair between a con man (Carrey) and his cellmate, the Phillip Morris of the title (Ewan McGregor). The film has received mixed reviews but has its champions, with some praising Carrey's' willingness to take on a relatively difficult role. 'Morris' currently rates 83 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, but failed to find a buyer. Consolidated Pictures Group (CPG) picked it up shortly thereafter.
