Scott has also apparently been trying to get his 'Crimson Tide' collaborator Gene Hackman interested in the project, though sources say Hackman is enjoying retirement too much to get back in front of the camera.

'Potsdamer Platz' has been a passion project of Tony Scott's for nearly a decade, with Buddy Giovinazzo's original script being recently rewritten by the 'Sexy Beast' team of David Scinto and Louis Mellis. The film centers around two members of a New Jersey-based crime family that are looking to expand internationally.

Tony Scott recently wrapped the runaway train thriller 'Unstoppable,' starring his frequent collaborator, Denzel Washington. He's also still looking to do the long in-development 'Warriors' remake.
