This Friday, Titans will clash and Krakens will be unleashed all over again with the arrival of Louis Leterrier's Clash of the Titans remake. I got the chance to see it last night (in regular 35mm -- save yourself the headache of seeing the quick-cut fight scenes in digital 3-D), and, while it was very different from the original, I had a lot of fun with it. It delivered exactly what the trailers promised -- raucous battles with computer-generated monsters and larger-than-life Greek gods.
The 1981 version of the film sported a gorgeous painted poster from The Brothers Hildebrandt, famous for their eye-popping use of color. You've probably seen their work on high profile projects for the Star Wars brand and Marvel Comics, as well as innumerable fantasy book covers and prints. You can dig deeper into The Brothers Hildebrandt's body of work at their official site.
You can see the full poster in all its mythological glory after the jump.
