Morgan SpurlockIt looks like the Tribeca Film Festival is about to get freaky.

The Hollywood Reporter announced today that the upcoming documentary 'Freakonomics' will close the festival, on May 2.

The doc, which is based on the best-selling book by Steven Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner, was put together by six directors, including Oscar winner Alex Gibney ('Taxi to the Dark Side') and Morgan Spurlock, best known for the 2004 doc 'Super Size Me,' about the effects of McDonalds foods has on the human body. 'Freakonomics' is slated to hit theaters later this year.

This is just the latest high-profile project to be added to the festival's lineup, which officially kicks off on Apr. 21. Other films to be screened at Tribeca this year include the just-announced 'Letters to Juliet' and 'My Own Love Song,' along with the world premiere of 'Shrek Forever After.'
