Things might get a little evil for Angelina Jolie.

According to a fairly exhaustive rundown from 24 Frames, the megastar is seriously considering, along with director Tim Burton, taking on the tale of 'Maleficent,' a re-imagining of the Disney classic 'Sleeping Beauty' from the perspective of its spell-casting villain.

Commitments aren't firm for either Jolie or Burton.

While the fairy tale details get sorted out, Jolie fans can look forward to a number of projects starring the Oscar-winning superstar, including the upcoming spy thriller 'Salt' (in theaters this July) and 'The Tourist,' which she is currently shooting alongside Johnny Depp. Jolie has also expressed interest in starring as the heroin in a series of films based on the novels of Patricia Cornwell.

Meanwhile, Burton has on tap -- you guessed it -- a series of re-imagination projects, including a 'Dark Shadows' adaptation (also starring Depp) and a stop-motion, 3D remake of his own 1984 short, 'Frankenweenie'.
