Remember that Channing Tatum-starring cop drama that Shia LaBeouf may or may not have been circling? While there's no word on why Shia was heading to co-star Al Pacino's place with a script, The Hollywood Reporter posts that Tracy Morgan and Juliette Binoche are in final negotiations to join the Son of No One cast, which also includes Ray Liotta and Katie Holmes. Check the date. It's no April Fool's Day.

The film focuses on a young cop (Tatum) "assigned to a precinct in the working class neighborhood where he grew up, with an old secret surfacing and threatening to destroy his life and family." Morgan will play Vinnie, Tatum's friend, while Binoche will play a reporter.

Let me just repeat the important word... This is a cop drama. So, not only has Morgan come out of a cop comedy that currently has Kevin Smith and the world of film critics at war, but now he's doing another cop film. A drama no less! Is he comic relief? Are we about to see him make a turn for the dramatic a la Marlon Wayans and Requiem for a Dream? I really can't see that happening. Whatever the case, this is one crazy cast. Pacino, Tatum, Binoche, Morgan... What could possibly become of it?
