The gritty, revisionist tale of the outlaw's origins opens worldwide on May 14, but festival-goers (and the rest of France) get a peek two days early.

This isn't Ridley Scott's first trip to Cannes, however. His 1977 film 'The Duelists' won the coveted Grand Jury Prize, and 'Thelma & Louise' screened there in 1991.
