We have been waiting for this day for a long time.

The trailer for 'Scott Pilgrim vs. The World' is finally available and you can watch it in all its action-packed, scruffy-haired, arcade-fighter glory.

But the only way for them to be together is for Scott to defeat -- not just fight, but defeat -- her seven evil ex-boyfriends.

And these ex-boyfriends (and one girlfriend) don't just make it awkward for Scott at parties, they come at him with magically-enhanced martial arts skills.

Our thoughts: 'Scott Pilgrim' is one of the funniest, hippest, most visually dazzling comic books out there, and if this trailer is any indication, the movie has beautifully captured all of its glory.

People may focus on the novelty of Cera busting out some serious kung-fu against action hunks like the new 'Captain America' Chris Evans, but this movie's secret weapon is its director, Edgar Wright. The filmmaker behind 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Hot Fuzz' has already displayed remarkable skill making fun, fast, and exciting movies, but it looks like he has stepped up his game considerably, in order to capture the books' mash-up of comics, anime, 8-bit video games and indie rock.

'Scott Pilgrim vs. The World' opens up on Fri., Aug. 13.
