'Alice' director Tim Burton is reportedly circling the project, although no official deal has been made.

No word yet on who would play the self-proclaimed "Mistress of All Evil," either, but if Burton does join the project, we'll be rooting for his 'Alice' co-star, Anne Hathaway.

Woolverton previously wrote the Oscar-winning Disney classics 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'The Lion King.' 'Alice,' meanwhile, continues to enjoy big success at the box office. Its current domestic total stands at over $260 million.
