According to an exclusive report from EW.com, Summit Entertainment has approached "at least three" A-list directors to helm the final chapter of the 'Twilight' saga, 'Breaking Dawn,' which is expected to be split into two films. Among the names being considered is two-time nominee Gus Van Sant, the man behind such Oscar-winning films as 'Good Will Hunting' and 2008's 'Milk.' Van Sant's reps have since confirmed the report, although no word yet on whether he'll actually take the reigns.

Other directors reportedly up for the job include Sofia Coppola and Bill Condon, who won screenplay Oscars for 'Lost in Translation' and 'Gods and Monsters,' respectively. Gus Van SantRecent Oscar presenters Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner may return to the Kodak Theater sooner than expected.

This would mark the fourth director to join the 'Twilight' saga. Catherine Hardwicke ('thirteen') directed the first film, before Summit switched to Chris Weitz for the film's popular sequel, 'New Moon.' David Slade will direct the third film, 'Eclipse,' in theaters June 30.
